» REGULATION
  • The town of Balchik is situated in a small bay 43 kilometres to the north of Varna city. The town successfully combines the modern resort comfort with its millenary history. Nature and man united to create the most beautiful and picturesque place in the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast - steep streets, getting down towards the coast , rich vegetation, red roofs, white rocks and blue sea. An important sightseeing of the town is the Architectural Complex THE CASTLE OF THE ROUMANIAN QUEEN MARIA, The Botanical Garden with its impressive cacti collection, the Historical and Ethnographical Museum, The Art Gallery, the temple Kibela.
  • The forum is carried out in 3 sessions of 15 days each. Every session has a competition and a festival part and includes concerts , seminars, exhibitions and presentations of the participants in Balchik and guest performances in the Dobrich and Varna districts.
  • The participants in the forum will be children`s and youth ethno-groups, troupes, ensembles and individuals from Bulgaria, Roumania, Macedonia, Serbia, Greece, Turkey, Albania, Kosovo, Moldavia, Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, Israel. They will demonstrate their achievements in the dancing, singing, instrumental, circus, fine and applied arts. The goal of the forum is the presenting by the children`s and youth ensembles of the diversity of the folk-lore of the Bulgarian and other ethnic groups in Bulgaria and the peoples of the Balkan Peninsula and Eastern Europe. The participation in the forum will stimulate the development of professional mastership and will motivate the young performers and artists to preserve and develop the folk-lore heritage and traditions. All foreign participants are to present additionally to their national performances also Bulgarian songs, dances and musical pieces.
  • All the participants are to carry out guest performances in Balchik and additionally in three places in the Dobrich and Varna districts
  • During the time of the forum the participants will have the possibility to associate with each other, to go together to excursions, concerts, disco, Neptune evening, creative meetings,exhibitions,workshops, to the beach. Training of artists will be carried out as wel as presentation of the outstanding artists. Every session will be terminated by discussions of the theme of the children`s and youth festivals as a means for the creative development and contacts, the strengthening of physical health and the fostering of friendly relations between the children and the youth of the Balkan Peninsula and Eastern Europe.
  • Apart from the festival character the forum has also a competitive character. The participants receive charters and diplomas for the presentation of their turns on the program. These turns will be evaluated by jury consisting of famous artists and pedagogues from Bulgaria and representatives from all the countries of participants, as well as representatives from the audience at the concerts in Balchik and during the guest performances
  • Nominations:

    • 1.Dancing (ensembles and individual participants)
      2.Vocal performance (chorus and individual ), including pop-folk.
      3.Theatrical genres, including theatre of costumes and Karagoz (from Turkish - Puppet theatre, Shadows Theater).

      5.Instrumental performances, including folk-jazz
      6.Fine and applied arts, including contemporary design and typical national clothes, the science of style

  • Age groups: up to 12 years old, 13-16 years old, 17-19 years old, 20-25 years old. Participants of more than 25 years old may take part as special guests of the forum
  • The program of the gala-concert in Balchik will be compiled with the help of jury, organizers and the audience.
  • Technical requirements: Video and audio recordings of all the participants should be on CD`s or DVD`s
  • Organizational requirements:
  • the applications for participation must contain detailed information:

    • -Name of the participant;
    - Genre of the performance;
      - Number of the participants and their age ;
      - Persons accompanying the participants;
      - Exact name of the performance (performances) at the concert of the forum and during the guest performances
      - Other information, submitted by the performer/performers.

  • Preliminary information for each session of the forum:

    • 1-st day : Arrival of the participants, accommodation in the hotels, registration, beach. Extended meeting of the artistic council of the Forum with the participation of the leaders of the ensembles, groups and individual participants. Supper.
      2-nd day: Rehearsals. Beach. Ceremonial opening of the festival. Cocktail party and disco for the participants.
      3-rd day: Beach. Competition and festival program.Beginning of the seminar and the exhibition. Concerts. Guest performances in Northeastern Bulgaria. Excursions.
      4-th day : Beach. Excursions. Meetings of the leaders of ensembles, groups and individual performers with famous Bulgarian folk-lore performers, Miss and Mister competition. Disco.
      5-th day: Beach. Excursions. Concerts and guest performances. Exhibits of young designers. Disco.
      6-th day: Beach. Excursions. Discussions about childrens` and youth festivals. Exhibits of young designers. Guest performances.
      7-th day: Beach. Excursions. Concerts, exhibitions. A workshop for toys and souvenirs is opened. . Evening of the Bulgarian folk-lore and pop folk .
      8-th day: Beach. Excursions and guest performances Visit of workshops. Visiting of a folk-lore evening
      9-th day: Beach. Excursion.Concerts and guest performances. Visiting of workshops. Visiting of a folk-lore evening.
      10-th day: Beach. Excursion. Concerts and guest performances. Visiting of workshops where ceramics items can be made by those who wish. Visiting of a folk-lore evening
      11-th day: Beach. Meeting of the leaders and the rest of the participants in the forum. Festival and competition program -theater of fashion, and Karagoz (from Turkish - Puppet theatre, Shadows Theater). Concerts, exhibitions.Guest performances. Excursions
    12-th day: Beach. Theater of fashion. Childrens` circus. Gala-concert in the resort-Golden Sands. Disco.
        13-th day: Excursions. Beach. Folklore seminar. Gala-concert on Balchik square (in the reading room and on the Unity square. Disco.
      14-th day: Excursions. Beach. Ceremonial closing of the I-st session of the forum: announcing and conferring prizes on the winners . Special prizes. Supper in a national Bulgarian restaurant. Disco.
      15-th day : Beach. Excursions. Departure.

  • Prices:

    • In the price is included:
    - accommodation in *+ / ** *** hotels;
    - breakfast, lunch and supper;
    - information-technical maintenance of the seminars and exhibitions, rehearsals, 2 concerts in Balchik and guest performances in three places in three places in the Dobrich and Varna districts

    The prices do not include:
    - The transportation cost by train, plain and ship to Varna, or by bus to Balchik.
    - The visa expenses for the participants in the Forum from countries with which Bulgaria has a visa regime;
    The obligatory insurance for the foreign participants;
    - The transfer of the participants from sea, railway station or airport Varna-Balchik-Varna which is 10 euro per person

  • The Castle of the Rumanian Queen and the Botanical Garden
  • 3 hours on foot
  • The Castle of the Rumanian Queen and the Botanical Garden are located in a picturesque site in the western part of Balchik, close to the beach. The architecture of the castle combines Bulgarian, Gothic, Mauritanian and other elements. The collection of cacti in the botanical garden is the second in its size in Europe. The tourists get acquainted with the history of the Castle, the secrets and legends connected with the name of the queen. They look at the interesting architecture of the exceptionally beautiful park, the exotic of the flowers, bushes and trees which are collected from the Mediterranean region, South Asia, America and Europe. On the alleys leading to the castle one can buy original sightseeing cards and drink original Turkish coffee cooked on hot sand. Price for adults- 9 Euro ; for children- 6 Euro.
  • Kaliakra and the Swamps
  • One day by bus, bathing in the sea, feast.
  • These are the last places of virgin steppe, including sea sector. Here grow more than 400 plants, 40 of which are very rare in the country, 11 disappearing species and 34 included in the list of rare species- among them 2 species endemic for Bulgaria and 2 species endemic for the Balkan Peninsula. On the way is visited an old church in the village of Bulgarevo and the tourists get acquainted with the origin and way of life of the Turkish-speaking Bulgarians of the Varna region. After arrival at the Swamps site follow games, fruits and cold drinks. Around 19:30 visiting of the Cape of Kaliakra. The fortress and the chapel are visited. Pictures are taken and the tourists are acquainted with the history and the mythology of Kaliakra- place of the victory of the Russian admiral Ushakov over the Turkish navy .   • Kavarna, Tyulenovo, The Yaila, The Stone Beach, Kaliakra and the Swamps
  • One day by bus, lunch-picnic, bathing in the sea, feast.

    • The first stop is at the Kavarna bazaar- the cheapest bazaar at the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast Lunch-picnic in nature in the village of Tyulenovo- the dwelling place of the last of black sea seals.
    Exploring of caves, bathing among rocks, wild nature, unique landscape.
    The Stone beach- a reservation, cult place of the Bulgarian youth. Eternal fire. Caves in which Bulgarian hippies live
    The Yaila- visiting of the stone necropolis- the most ancient graveyard on the territory of Bulgaria . Lunch.
    The Swamps- the most beautiful place on the rocky beach. Drinks and fruits in nature at the reservation.
    Cape Kaliakra is a place of the victory of the Russian admiral Ushakov over the Turkish navy. Looking at the remnants of the fortress, acquainting with the legends of the place. Dolphins and pelicans. The Chapel St. Nicolaus miracle-creator. Taking of pictures and souvenirs.

  • Golden Sands- Aquapark
  • One day, by bus

    • Aquapark- is a swimming pool for 1200 people, water slide, attractions, rafting river, slide- Kamikadze,family, slide, etc. possibility to go to the beach..
    Price for adults and for children- 20 Euro. (a group of minimum 20 people); for a group of 13 to 19 people- 22 Euro. For a group up to 13 people- 25 Euro

  • Nessebar
  • 1 day, by bus, lunch, feast, bathing in the southern sea

    • A trip along the Black Sea Coast to the ancient town-museum Nessebar- one of the most ancient towns of Europe, situated on a small peninsula, founded more than 3000 years ago, close to the famous resort Sunny Beach. The most precious in Nessebar are the numerous churches built in different epochs of the national Renaissance. Nessebar is included in the UNESCO list of world heritage. Walks in the ancient town, visiting of churches, free time, bathing in the southern sea

  • Picnic Bivouac
  • 4 hours, by bus

    • The restaurant- Picnic Bivouac is located not far from the town of Kavarna, in the wood. Original folklore program with the participation of tourists, rich menu, wine and brandy from tubs. Dance on glowing ember. Interesting animations. Pictures. Disco.
    Price for adults - 19 Euro: for children- 16 Euro.

  • Sea Voyage
  • 1 or 2 hours on a motor vessel.

    • Romantic sea voyage along the coast. Music, laughter and other surprises.
    Feast- drinks, sweets, cakes. Bathing in the sea

  • Istambul 1.1.
  • 1 day, by bus

    • Trip by luxury bus with air conditioning and video. Arriving in Istanbul and overview excursion including the Asian part of the city.
    Visiting of the Blue Mosque, hippodrome, lunch and shopping. Optional- visiting of the Disney Land ;Tatilia. Returning early morning to Balchik.

  • Monastery Ak-Yazil Baba, Albena - beach

    • Monastery Ak-Yazil Baba is one of the biggest and most ancient muslim monasteries in Bulgaria. The imposing dome of the tomb creates a great impression, here is buried the saint Ak-Yazil Baba who, according the belief helps to find lost animals. He is revered by Muslims, as well as by Christians. We will do ritual washing. We will taste yeni raki, lokum (Turkish delight) and a mint drink. We will take part in rituals for health and good luck. One can check how great are the sins that one has committed.! Resort Albena- free time and beach.
